Supervisor

At The Los Gatos Theatre, we understand that our guest come first. More than just movies, we envision a variety of local events that may include live productions, special screenings of Hollywood premieres, holiday matinees, and family film series. Although retro in style, we are complete with the latest technology and therefore appealing for corporate events and private engagements. As a supervisor and crew member lead, you will be expected to ensure all guests receive prompt and friendly service through personal example and by providing direction as needed to team members.  Floor supervisors assist management in the overall operation of the theater while they perform their day to day job functions and can act as the primary point of contact for shift crews.  It is imperative that the supervisor be highly motivated and driven to provide superior customer service and also act responsibly on behalf of the company best interest. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to generate and provide daily reports to management
  • Ability to settle nightly bank drops
  • Greet guests, operate point-of-sale terminals, and assemble food orders
  • Restock all inventory (popcorn, concessions, ice, etc…)
  • Maintain cleanliness of concession area, auditoriums, and restrooms
  • Operate film projectors, sound equipment and related equipment
  • Assist guests and resolve any concerns
  • Be readily available for all other functions as instructed by management
  • Communicate and escalate any misconduct

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior theatre work experience a must
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven supervisory experience with effective managerial and training skills
  • Persuasive written and oral communication skills along with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively delegate and follow up with crew members
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a timely fashion
